Can I call the supplying dealer to make a claim

No, Warranty Protect are a separate entity to your supplying dealer. Anything after the point of sale that relates to mechanical or electrical failures should be communicated solely with Warranty Protect. 
In almost all circumstances the supplying dealer will refer you to call Warranty Protect with any issues presented to them.
